Hi, on my MB-Pro, I had the latest ver of Kaspersky installed, and when I upgraded to Yosemite when it was officially released, it has continued to run ok - albeit the Mac runs very slow with it switched on. However, on my wife's MB-Air, she didn't have Kaspersky installed before I upgraded her machine to Yosemite, and I cannot now install it - it just freezes on 'Starting Protection' after install. I've followed all the instructions to uninstall, restart, run the uninstall tool and try again, but this does not work. Am I missing something or do I need to wait until a 'compatible' version is launched? I seem to remember there was a similar issue when Mavericks was released. Something like this happened with Mavericks, when the first update resulted in a more current patch being installed. Just a suggestion. Have you run update before enabling protection? Hi JP - thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately there's no option to run an update before starting protection, as the only way to get to the update bit is to start Kaspersky which is where it freezes.
