Unfortunately the Kindle app keeps crashing ('Unfortunately, Amazon Kindle has stopped'). I cleared data and cache in the app manager, uninstalled and reinstalled, and rebooted the tabled a few times - unfortunately the problem doesn't go away. ![]() ![]() My Kindle app has been consistently losing my spot. It keeps my bookmark so I've yet to truly lose my place, but its annoying as hell. I am a natural troubleshooter and I've yet to work out any specific circumstances. Last night I was reading before bed and I got to a new chapter. I set a bookmark and hit the sleep button and put my iPad down. 15 minutes ago I went to pick it up and it was on page 18. I hit refresh manually and it said I was that the farthest synced location across all devices. I load up my bookmarks and sure enough there's a bookmark on page 27, which is where I was. Its not just one book either. It was doing the same thing on the last book I read. Both Kindle books purchased from Amazon. I have also been seeing this issue with my Kindle app on both iPad 2 and iPhone 4. I read on the iPad 2 at home and the iPhone 4 when I'm walking down a hall at work or before a meeting (yeah, I'm a book nerd). I think it has to do with the most recent Kindle update -- what appears to be happening is that if you're on page 29 of 250 on iPhone, it's saving that 'page 29' but then when you go to the iPad, it puts you on iPad's 'page 29' which is completely different. How to add video to powerpoint. It seems like it's saving the 'page' rather than the true location which is different between screen sizes and devices. I'm hoping for a fix soon - both my husband and I have seen the issue with the latest Kindle version (we both have iPad 2 / iPhone 4 devices we read with). This used to work just fine, no idea what they did to break it, but it's definitely not saving the page in the right spot on either device now.
